CRJU 3025 - Theories and Development of Juvenile Gangs Credit Hours: 3 Students will explore the youth gang-related crime; discern why and how such crime has been growing for years, and find out existing data about the extent and precise nature of crimes, committed by gang members. Students will learn about the nature and origins of socialization into gang subculture, entrepreneurial activities of gangs, and the major theories of crime and delinquency. Students will also explore the legal, community-based, and national intervention strategies.
Prerequisite(s): CRJU 3004 or by permission of instructor
