SSCI 4823 - Environmental Soil Chemistry Credit Hours: 3 Students are introduced to fundamental principles and acquire basic knowledge of chemical reactions between soils and environmentally important plant nutrients, radionuclides, metals or organic chemicals. Students acquire the fundamentals needed to predict the fate of contaminants in the surface and subsurface soil environments. Chemical and instrumental techniques are employed in examining these properties.
