ANSC 6413 - Food Microbiology Credit Hours: 3 Students will acquire knowledge of sources of food borne infections and poisonings including factors affecting the growth of microbes in food, microorganisms of concern in milk and meat foods, their detection and control. Laboratory periods will focus on techniques involved in the detection, isolation, growth, and control of different food pathogens.
