COUN 5433 - Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling

Credit Hours: 3
Preparing students to work with substance abuse clients and to be able to refer clients to appropriate treatment. Various interventions will be discussed including counseling theories, experiential interventions, individual, group, and family systems models of treatment, and spiritual practices. Attention will be given to diversity considerations, advocacy roles, research, and evaluation.
