ECSP 5424 - Diversity and Differentiated Instruction Credit Hours: 3 Teachers in this course will explore the learning characteristics and needs of diverse student populations. Teachers will examine the social, cultural, and educational factors influencing the provision of successful learning opportunities for diverse students. The course will require that teachers demonstrate the ability to plan, implement, and effectively evaluate differentiated instruction, as well as provide support for a variety of instructional needs. Graduate students will examine both current trends and historical foundations regarding these factors, especially as they impact the selection and implementation of curricula. Students will also integrate curricular, assessment, and management skills as they support learning for diverse populations.
