COUN 6030 - Intro to Play Therapy
Credit Hours: 3
This course will provide students with an introduction to Play Therapy as a modality for work with children and adolescents. Students will gain a philosophical understanding of Play Therapy’s fundamental tenets through exploration of its history and by learning about various models, accompanying rationales, and basic practice skills. This three-credit graduate-level course will provide 67.5 continuing education units towards the Association for Play Therapy’s Registered Play Therapist credential.
Prerequisite(s):
- In addition to admissions to graduate program students must have taken and passed with grade “B” or better COUN 5650, MLHC 5413 and COUN 5463
