ENGL 4793 - Genre: Drama Credit Hours: 3 Students study major and minor works of a genre of drama demonstrating the emergence, development, and major themes of that dramatic genre as well as related conventions during the historical period in question. Students also examine a number of critical approaches and apply them to works. Specific genres may include Jacobean Drama, Greek Tragedy, Restoration Theater, Theater of the Absurd or post-modern drama. This course may be taken more than once under different subheadings.
Prerequisite(s): A Grade of “C” or Above in ENGL 2111 or ENGL 2112
