CSIS 3701 - Information Systems Theory and Practice Credit Hours: 3 Students are exposed to the theory of the IS discipline. Applications of theory to the success of organizations, to the roles of management users and IS professionals are presented. Students gain an understanding of the decision process and how information is used for decision support in organizations. Students learn the systems point of view, the organization and development of a system, information flows, the nature of information systems and basic techniques for representing systems structure.
Prerequisite(s): CSCI 1301 or CSCI 2201
