ARTH 3353 - History of Graphic Design

Credit Hours: 3
Students learn the history of design from antiquity to the present. Students learn about historical techniques/methodologies, such as hieroglyphics, typographies, advertising, graphic design, illustration, and fashion. Students learn of the influence of fine art on design and how design transformed into an entity separate from fine art. Students learn about designers of various fields and the impact of design on ancient and present societies.
