SOWK 5502 - Social Work Field Education Internship-II


Credit Hours: 3
Students engage in meaningful learning opportunities in a variety of social work settings in regional, community-based agencies and organizations. The practicum experience focuses on skill development application of ethics to practice and the integration and application of social work theory and practice. Students spend on the average about 20 hours per week on site. They learn to apply the knowledge and skills of general social work practice appropriate to the setting he/she is in. Students are placed under the supervision of a social service worker while completing the second 300 hours of service (of the required 900 hours in a field placement setting).
